The CRC 1054 (https://www.sfb1054.med.uni-muenchen.de/index.html) is a collaboration of 17 research groups of LMU Munich, Technical University Munich and Helmholtz Center Munich. The CRC 1054 offers several possibilities for training and career development. Seminars, lectures, workshops, and retreats are essential parts of the CRC 1054. The included Integrative Research Training Group (IRTG) represents a powerful tool to provide a structured framework for the training and supervision of young scientists. The IRTG is integrated into the Munich Medical Research School (MMRS) of LMU Munich.
The CRC (Collaborative Research Centre) 1054 explores the plasticity of cell-fate decisions in the immune system. Its goal is to identify signals that confer T cell plasticity and characterize the molecular basis for how T cells read these signals. The long-term research goal of this CRC 1054 is to identify targets that allow the control of immune cell differentiation for specific therapeutic manipulation.
