Founded in 1831, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) today is study
and work place for ~30,000 students and more than 300 professors in the natural sciences
and engineering, the humanities and social sciences as well in law and economics. LUH has
a very successful record of accomplishment of managing both individual fellowships and
large international projects and of hosting visiting researchers of all career stages for both
training and knowledge transfer purposes. Internationalisation is part of the LUH’s mission
and it continuously works to strengthen the international profile of LUH through a series of
initiatives, increasing international research partnerships and the number of international
students.
