The Burda lab (
www.burdalab.org ) at the Institute of Veterinary Pathology of the University of Giessen studies the cell biology of apicomplexan parasites and employs experimental genetics combined with high-resolution microscopy and biochemical approaches. We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student (50% E13, 3 years) to investigate the molecular basis of how apicomplexan parasites obtain lipids from their host cells to sustain their intracellular replication. The project should ideally start from 1st of March 2025.
