Research Scientist - Cardiovascular
Activities and responsibilities
In your new role, you will lead the science to identify and validate novel therapeutic starting points to treat cardiovascular diseases. You will be a part of a pharmacology lab with several highly skilled Research Assistants. With your scientific expertise, you will establish cutting-edge methods and technology for innovative drug discovery. Moreover, you will be a member of drug discovery projects in a matrix environment, thereby productively collaborating across disciplines including medicinal chemistry, biologics development, and other drug discovery supporting functions. Furthermore, you will recognize and leverage external collaboration opportunities that amplify the Department’s research. In addition, you will contribute to the science in cardiovascular disease by publishing papers and presenting at conferences.
Qualification profile
Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular pharmacology, or related disciplines with expert knowledge in cardiovascular biology; PhD degree is preferable Postdoctoral experience in academia or pharmaceutical industry with impactful research activities in cardiovascular diseases is valuable Demonstrated track record of publications in scientific journals Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Independent, goal-oriented, and pro-active working attitude, flexibility as well as innovative thinking and problem solving. Fluency in English spoken and written; German is a plus
