Business Development Manager (Distributors & OEM/ODM)

NIPPON Genetics EUROPE is a leading medium-sized life science company based in Düren, Germany, specialising in cutting-edge products for the biotechnology and life science industries. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced professional to join our team and manage both our distributor relationships across Europe and expand our OEM/ ODM partnerships globally.
Key responsibilities
- Distributor management: Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing distributors, ensuring product availability and providing ongoing support.
- Sales strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve sales performance and achieve financial goals in conjunction with senior management.
- Business development: Support the company‘s sales and market expansion by driving business with distributors and OEM/ODM customers.
- New OEM/ODM acquisition: Identify, approach and secure new OEM/ODM partners, negotiate contracts and ensure product fit with partner needs.
- Collaboration: Liaise with product development, marketing and logistics teams to ensure product offering is aligned with distributor and OEM/ODM needs.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales, distributor performance and progress with new OEM/ODM accounts.
Your profile
- Bachelor‘s degree in biology, life sciences or related fields.
- Technical understanding of life science products.
- 3+ years of experience in the life science industry with experience in sales or marketing with key channel partners and distributors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple partners with ambiguity and challenging priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of German or additional languages is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel.
