Category Manager - Logistics (m/f/d)

Exciting opportunities await you - as Specialist Corporate Logistics Procurement, you will further develop, enhance and implement European logistics and procurement strategies for air, ocean and land transportation as well as warehousing services, together with the ALTANA Head of Logistics Procurement and the respective stakeholders in the ALTANA divisions. Your other tasks include:

• Realizing a European tender roadmap, regularly reviewing resp. tendering logistics services in the market regarding costs and service
• Strategically evolving the logistics network in terms of service provider management, costs and benefits
• Taking our logistics reporting to the next level, making both the current and the future procurement market situation accessible to the ALTANA organization

With this profile, you convince us - if you have a Master, diploma or Bachelor in economics, engineering or similar, bring long-standing experience in industry procurement of logistics services as well as in international project management and excel in negotiating logistics tenders, we warmly invite you to apply. You should also possess proven strength in
conception and implementation, an outstanding organizational understanding and a strong service and stakeholder focus. Your other skills and competencies include:

• Good process understanding within the supply chain
• Target group-suited communication dexterity on different hierarchical levels
• High degree of personal persuasiveness and results orientation
• Familiarity with international cooperation
• Written and spoken proficiency in German and English
• Willingness to travel is a big plus
