Airbus Defence and Space in Bremen is looking for a
Materials & Processes Engineer (d/f/m)
In this role, you will contribute to the development, selection, and maturation of materials for future military aircraft programs (FCAS) and other Air Power programs. By collaborating closely with our Materials & Processes teams based in Manching and Spain, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative composite solutions that meet stringent performance requirements and tight deadlines.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.
Your location

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate materials and processes for FCAS applications, taking into account low observability requirements from the design team
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding material selections, design iterations, and project progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish development roadmaps and material Specifications, participate in the design principles definition
- Plan, coordinate, and execute comprehensive test plans to validate material properties and performance under various conditions, in collaboration with suppliers and laboratories
- Coordinate with suppliers teams to implement efficient production processes and drive material development
- Perform special process qualification sustainability audits and industrial qualifications in the frame of A400M IFA and its supply chain
Desired skills and qualifications
- Engineer or Sciences Degree with proven professional experience in Materials and Processes Projects, ideally focused on composite related materials and technologies with respect to development and design of solutions, materials qualifications, processes control, testing and failure analysis
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge of Aircraft definition & development
- Communication skills in front of suppliers and internal customers.
- Fluent in German and English
