To support our laboratory team, we are looking for a highly motivated
Laboratory Technician Downstream Processing (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
- Preparation and execution of microbial-cultivation processes, and subsequent downstream processing on a lab scale level (e.g., media and buffer preparation, inoculum preparation, sampling, harvesting)
- Purification and analysis of recombinant proteins (e.g., Äkta-FPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, photometric assays)
- Maintenance and caretaking of technical equipment, as well as general laboratory organization
- Documentation of workflows and results, following Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies
Job requirements
- Biotechnological education e.g., apprenticeship, BTA, HTL, BSc or comparable
- Experience in microbial work, ideally in production of recombinant proteins
- Experience in protein purification (ideally ÄKTA-FPLC) and protein analytics (purity and functionality of proteins, e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, HPLC) is a big plus
- Experience with yeasts, bioreactors or molecular cloning techniques will be considered as a plus
- Conscientiousness, reliability and sense of responsibility
- Highly collaborative mindset • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Good English and/or German communication skills, written and oral
