NEOsphere Biotechnologies is a Munich based leader in targeted protein degradation drug discovery proteomics. Our highly sophisticated data analysis suite, hosted on high performance computing servers, facilitates the fast and intuitive analysis of even large-scale proteomics data and enables the identification and assessment of potential novel degrader targets.
It utilizes a tailor-made framework of interactive R/Shiny web-apps that enables user-friendly data evaluation and in-depth meta-analysis.
We are looking for a highly motivated, scientifically minded candidate who is enthusiastic and passionate about programming, R shiny and data analysis to join our biostatistics/bioinformatics team.
Scientific Programmer (f/m/d) - Proteomics; Full-time, permanent, Munich
Your key responsibilities
- In an open exchange with the entire team, you will improve our web-app platform based on product strategic goals and user feedback.
- You will be involved in building new web-app products to discover and deliver concise and actionable insights based on data.
- You will conceptualize and develop unit tests for important subroutines.
- You will track and resolve code issues by analyzing the impact on service operations and quality.
- You will be involved in code review to ensure best practices such as style guidelines, accuracy, testability and efficiency.
Your ideal qualifications
- Master’s degree in bioinformatics, informatics or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in R, R/Shiny and the Posit Connect framework.
- Python programming skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with Version Control, in particular Git.
- Experience working in a Linux environment as well as high-performance computing server usage.
- Excellent communication skills and the initiative to actively communicate with data producers and data users in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Professional language skills in English - both written and spoken.
